Mediation is now recognised as one of the fastest and most cost-effective methods of achieving the settlement of a dispute before trial. Going to court is expensive and stressful, often taking months of costly litigation, with no guarantee of a successful outcome at the end.
Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution (ADR), which allows the parties to the dispute, assisted by a trained mediator, to seek an outcome for themselves by exploring issues and possible solutions that go beyond those a court could consider. Wholly impartial mediators will use various techniques to open, or improve, dialogue between disputants, aiming to help the parties reach an agreement.
Our managing director, David Lawrence, is a fully accredited mediator, having been trained by Clerksroom. Clerksroom are an Accredited Mediation Provider, accredited by the Civil Mediation Council. For further information about the CMC, visit www.civilmediation.org.
